Balm
The nearness of other good souls soothes like a balm
a body’s love, love, heal like a balm
We must caress, ache, until we cry we crave
To have no want, to deserve no balm
Exude oil, aroma, delivered back to the red stool in the kitchen
We love, no? And provide like balm?
no. Flour dusts the brow, flour outlines the nail
Cultivating the love of then, for now a balm
What is heartbreaking is to know
What is to fear; to not know the soothe of your skin as balm
Recall love as away
Allow to question love as constrain, or love as balm
Sit and cry in growing trepidation
Roar, a yearning, pulling agency of balm
In moments you strike, in moments you strive,
We sat in the dark, on the floor in the dark-- you gave solace, a balm
Voice pulls to the calm
Cares like the balm
Cucurrucucú no llores; with weight laid and droplets in ducts, awake in dawn
Toma, porfi; apply the balm
UNBELIEVABLE BLUE,
As if descended from the blue blue balm
So, i pinch my skin
Folded in the bowl, pit, abyss, I reach for balm
